Drug Driving – Lowest Penalty Secured
Holborn Adams represented a client at the Magistrates’ Court charged with driving with a specified drug above the legal limit. Despite significant aggravating factors, expert legal representation secured the lowest possible penalty for this offence, resulting in a 12-month driving ban and a fine.
Possession of Indecent Images – Suspended Sentence
Holborn Adams successfully represented a client at sentence before Warwick Crown Court in relation to three counts of possessing indecent images of children across Categories A, B, and C. Despite sentencing guidelines indicating a custodial sentence, the defence secured a suspended sentence of 8 months, suspended for 12 months. The prosecution sought an extensive Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO); however, following strong advocacy, numerous unnecessary terms were successfully opposed, resulting in a significantly limited order being imposed.
Aggravated Assault - No Further Action
The client faced allegations of harassment, intentional strangulation, and assault by beating. Holborn Adams submitted comprehensive post-charge representations to the Crown Prosecution Service, effectively arguing that the evidence was insufficient for a conviction. Our strategic approach led to the case being resolved with no further action, allowing the client to avoid the stress and stigma of ongoing legal proceedings.
