Possession & Making of Indecent Images - Suspended Sentence
Holborn Adams represented a client accused of both possessing and making indecent images, a serious matter that frequently results in immediate custodial sentences. Through elite and carefully planned representation at the Crown Court, we were able to present strong mitigation and supporting evidence which highlighted our client’s personal circumstances and rehabilitation prospects. As a result, the Court imposed a 2-year suspended sentence, allowing our client to avoid prison. This was an exceptional outcome given the significant custody risk present from the outset.
Indecent Exposure, Drug & Bladed Article Offences - No Further Action & Caution
Holborn Adams represented a client facing multiple allegations, including indecent exposure, possession of a bladed article, and possession of Class B and C drugs. Following first-rate representation, the Police decided to take no further action in relation to both possession offences and the indecent exposure allegation. Ultimately, a caution was administered for the possession of the bladed article. This is an excellent outcome, as it is rare for such a serious offence to be dealt with by way of an out-of-court disposal.
Racially Aggravated Offence – Conditional Discharge Secured
Holborn Adams represented a client at the Crown Court in relation to a racially aggravated public order offence. At the initial hearing, the defence successfully negotiated a basis of plea with the prosecution. The case proceeded directly to sentencing, where the court imposed a 4-month conditional discharge. Compensation and costs were also ordered.
