Simran Bhakar

Simran is a Legal Assistant with a strong passion for criminal law. She holds both an LLB from the University of Southampton and an LLM from the University of Nottingham, specialising in criminal law and criminal justice, reflecting her dedicated interest in this field.

Simran he has gained significant practical experience, including working on capital punishment appeals with Amicus in the United States, where she supported attorneys in challenging wrongful and unjust convictions. Closer to home, Simran has provided pro bono legal advice to members of the public through a legal clinic, ensuring access to justice for those who might otherwise struggle to be heard. She has also worked as a caseworker for a Member of Parliament, managing sensitive caseloads on crime and justice issues and acting as a bridge between the community and government.

Simran brings dedication, analytical precision and a genuine commitment to justice to her role, ensuring that every case she works on is approached with thorough preparation and unwavering focus.

Outside of work, Simran enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures, has a keen interest in true crime and loves discovering new food spots,  whether that’s trying out hidden gems locally or sampling cuisines abroad.
